Do you want to learn more about how prevent food waste while getting local fruits and vegetables to those in need? Gleaning is a win-win-win – for the farmer, for the environment, and for folks who are food insecure. Hudson Valley gleaning experts will be discussing the ins and outs of gleaning and opportunities for you to participate. Gleaning opportunities exist throughout the local growing season. Find out how you can participate! Specific gleaning opportunities are being scheduled for the end of September to rescue produce for Feeding the Hudson Valley to be held Saturday October 7, 2017 on the Walkway over the Hudson.
